Quick answers for using Expat Crow.
People
Expat Crow organizes records by person. Your first person is the Primary person on the account. Depending on your plan, you can also add a spouse, partner, child, parent, dependent, or other person from Settings.
Family shared access
Family lets the household owner invite an eligible household person to sign in with their own account. Invited members can view the shared household and Pipeline and complete checklist items assigned to them. The household owner keeps control of invitations, membership administration, billing, and owner-only changes.
Assigning records to people
Documents, events, required visits, tax deadlines, and Pipeline work can be associated with people in the household. This keeps responsibilities clear when one household includes a couple, family, parent, child, or other dependent.
Documents
Add passports, visas, residence permits, licenses, trusted traveler programs, and other important documents. Expat Crow tracks the expiration dates you enter and helps you see what needs attention.
Calendar & required visits
Track appointments, required visits, interviews, biometrics, renewal windows, and other important dates for each person. Document expirations and tax deadlines also appear on your Calendar.
Global Profile & country contexts
Global Profile brings together your household’s cross-border context. Country relationships, statuses, memberships and objectives are account-level facts; Programs and Cases identify which people participate and in what case-specific role. The page also includes a compact Compliance Timeline. A country or fact is available to Caw only when you enable its separate Caw permission.
Programs & Cases
Use Programs and Cases for the high-level matter a household member is involved in: principal applicant, participants, countries, target dates, milestones and status. Link an existing Pipeline for the detailed stages and checklist work. Case roles apply only to that Case and do not change household roles.
Country Intelligence
Published Country Intelligence is source-backed general information for countries in your Global Profile. Each item identifies its source, verification date, effective dates when known, and whether it is an official requirement or editorial explanation. Save an item for review or mark it not relevant. An item is not a confirmed personal obligation unless you independently determine it applies and create or update your own record.
Compliance Timeline
Timeline combines dates from your documents, upcoming events, incomplete tax deadlines, dated Pipeline steps and Case milestones. These are labeled Confirmed record because they come from your account. Dated Country Intelligence appears separately as suggested information and is never added to your confirmed timeline automatically.
Tax deadlines
Add filing, payment, and extension deadlines for each person and each country or jurisdiction where you need to keep track of a tax date.
Reminders
Expat Crow sends email reminders based on the schedules attached to your documents, events, visits, tax deadlines, and eligible Pipeline steps. Reminders are tied to the underlying record and person.
Password & account
Manage your account, people, plan, password, and notification information from Settings after signing in. Family household billing and membership administration remain with the household owner.
Primary person
The Primary person is selected by default when you create a new document, event, required visit, or tax deadline. You can make another person Primary from Settings.
A Primary person cannot be deleted until another person has been made Primary. People with linked records must have those records moved or deleted before the person can be removed.
Plans
Free covers the basics for one person. Pro adds unlimited tracking, unlimited Pipeline processes, and Caw AI for up to two people. Family adds household coordination and shared member access for up to six people.
